Résumé : Né entre les deux guerres (1921), le surréalisme français est un mouvement qui visait à transformer la société par le canal des expositions, de la peinture et surtout de la littérature. Parmi les auteurs surréalistes, l’un des plus actifs fut René Crevel avec ses romans singuliers. L’originalité de Crevel tient du fait qu’il n’a jamais voulu une classification classique de ses romans qui sont tiraillés entre la poésie, le théâtre et l’essai. Son écriture est donc hybride. Et cette hybridité rappelle le goût surréaliste pour la folie. Comme les autres membres du groupe, Crevel est resté attaché à ce thème central du mouvement. Ses œuvres
méritent donc d’être analysées aussi sous cet angle.
Abstract : Born between the two wars (1921), French surrealism is a movement that aimed to transform society through exhibitions, painting and above all literature. Among the surrealist authors, one of the most active was René Crevel with his singular novels. Crevel’s originality stems from the fact that he never wanted a classic classification of his novels, which are torn between poetry, theater and the essay. His writing is therefore hybrid. And this hybridity recalls the surrealist taste for madness. Like the other members of the group, Crevel remained committed to this central theme of movement. His works therefore deserve to be analyzed
also from this angle.
